NH Lottery Powerball – NH Power Ball
The New Hampshire Lottery is 1 of 47 US State Lotteries & District Lotteries that offer the Powerball lottery game – in this case the NH Powerball – as part of its overall portfolio of lotteries.
Powerball is a Multi-State USA Lottery that is run by the Multi State Lottery Association – MUSL – who run and syndicate the game across the USA and is one of the largest lottery games in the world having produced an incredible US$ 1.58 BILLION record jackpot in January 2016. This is the largest lottery jackpot ever won to date in the history of world jackpot lotteries and smashed the US$ 656 MILLION record created by Mega Millions.
The very first Powerball draw took place on April 22nd 1992 with 16 USA Lottery companies – who were all members of the MUSL – taking part when the game changed its format and name from Lotto America which had started on February 13th 1988.
New Hampshire Powerball tickets were first sold back on November 5th 1995 when the NH Lottery became the 22nd member to join the MUSL – Multi State Lottery Association – who run & syndicate the game across the USA.
NH Powerball – How it Works
The NH Powerball works in the same way as the Powerball game works in all the States and Districts in the US that offer the game.
Jackpots start off at US$ 40 Million and ROLLOVER after each draw when the top prize is not won – climbing in size by a minimum of US$ 10 Million every time – making for some massive jackpot figures.
6 numbers are drawn in total for the New Hampshire Powerball from 2 separate drawing machines – firstly 5 numbers are drawn from 59 white balls and then 1 number (the Powerball) is drawn from 35 red balls.
Draws for the NH Lottery Powerball take place twice every week on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10.59pm EST.
There is also a Powerball prize multiplier facility available when playing that dramatically increases the size of a Powerball win and is called Powerball POWERPLAY.

NH Powerball – How to Play
The aim when playing is to correctly select as many Powerball winning numbers as possible – and with 9 different ways in which you can win on the New Hampshire Powerball Lottery – you have a great chance of winning a prize.
There are principally 4 ways you can play the Powerball NH…
1. Pick 5 of your own main (white ball) numbers from 1 to 59 plus your 1 Power Ball (red ball) number from 1 to 35.
2. Pick 5 of your own main (white ball) numbers from 1 to 59 and use the Quick Pick option to let the computer choose your Power Ball (red ball) number for you from 1 to 35 – using a computer powered random number generator.
3. Use the Quick Pick option to let the computer pick your 5 main (white ball) numbers from 1 to 59 using a random number generator – and pick your own Power Ball (red ball) from 1 to 35.
4. Use the Quick Pick option available to let the computer choose both your 5 main (white ball) numbers from 1 to 59 and also your 1 Power Ball (red ball) number from 1 to 35 using its random number generator.

POWERPLAY…
For just an extra dollar – you can choose to increase your New Hampshire Powerball Lottery winnings on all levels except the jackpot – by adding the Powerball POWER PLAY option when playing the NH Powerball.
If your chosen New Hampshire Power Ball numbers match the Powerball winning numbers on any of these prize levels – you immediately increase your winnings by either 2, 3 or 4 times – depending on what NH Power Ball prize you have won.
If you are lucky enough to match all 5 of the main Powerball winning numbers – the POWERPLAY multiplier will immediately double your prize to US$ 2 MILLION.

NH Powerball – Record Jackpots
The biggest Powerball jackpot ever won in New Hampshire so far has been a massive US$ 559.7 Million on January 6th 2018 from a ticket bought at the Reeds Ferry Market in Merrimack.
The 2nd highest New Hampshire Powerball jackpot won to date has been the huge US$ 487 Million won on July 30th 2016 by a family who purchased their ticket in the small town of Raymond, NH and who have elected to remain anonymous. The win was claimed under the name of the Robin Egg 2016 Nominee Trust
The 3rd largest jackpot ever won to date on the NH Powerball has been the huge US$ 135 Million won on August 30th 2003 by the Aeetos Trust of North Conway, NH with an Easy Pick ticket.
Another of the top jackpots won on the NH Powerball include the awesome US$ 85.5 Million won on February 4th 2004 by the Bow Trust of Portland, Maine – the 8th winning Powerball jackpot ticket to be sold in New Hampshire.
Yet another big NH Powerball jackpot was the US$ 67.6 Million won on April 28th 2007 by husband and wife – Dale Chellis and Toni Sergott from Lake Zurich, Illinois – who bought their ticket on a visit to their New Hampshire homeland.
NH Powerball – How Prizes are Paid
If you have won an NH Powerball jackpot – you will be able to claim your prize as either a cash lump sum or as an annuity payment – If you choose the annuity option – your New Hampshire Powerball Lottery winnings will be paid to you in 30 installments over a 29 year period.
For all prizes on the NH Powerball – you will have 365 days from the date of the draw taking place – to make your claim before your Powerball ticket will become invalid.
If your win on the NHPowerball is up to US$ 599.99 – you will be able to claim your winnings at most NHLottery retailers or by mail.
If you’ve had a win of US$ 600 or more on the NHPowerball – you can claim your prize at the New Hampshire Lottery Headquarters in Concord or by mail using a completed claim form.
