The New Hampshire Lottery is 1 of 3 US State Lotteries that offer the TriState Lottery – Tri State Megabucks PLUS as part of the overall NH Lottery portfolio.

The Tri State Megabucks PLUS is a Multi State Lottery that is run and operated by the Tri State Lottery Consortium who administer and syndicate TriState Lottery games across the three States of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.

The TriState Megabucks has produced a record jackpot to date of an incredible US$ 16.4 Million.

The first Megabucks draw took place on September 14th 1985 and lasted until it was replaced by the bigger and better Tri State Megabucks PLUS on July 26th 2009.

The Tri State Megabucks was the first Multi State Lottery to be introduced in the United States when it was introduced by the Maine Lottery, Vermont Lottery and New Hampshire Lottery.

Draws for the NH Megabucks are made from the offices of the New Hampshire Lottery Commission in Concord, NH.

The NH Megabucks was first sold on September 3rd 1985 when tickets were first issued by the Tri-State Lottery group – and the collaborative partnership between the New Hampshire Lottery, Maine State Lottery and the Vermont Lottery began.

NH Megabucks PLUS – How it Works

The NH Megabucks PLUS works in exactly the same way as the Tri State Megabucks PLUS game works in the States of Maine and Vermont.

Jackpots start off at US$ 1 Million and ROLLOVER after each draw the top prize is not won – increasing in size by a minimum of US$ 50,000 each time –making for some quite large jackpots to be won.

6 numbers are drawn in total for the NH Megabucks PLUS by a random number generator – firstly 5 numbers from 41 are drawn and then from a second set of numbers – 1 number (the MEGAball) from 6 is drawn.

Draws for the Megabucks NH take place twice every week on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7.59pm EST.

NH Megabucks – How Prizes are Paid

If you have won a Megabucks NH jackpot – you can claim your prize as either a cash lump sum or as an annuity payment.

If you choose the annuity option – your Tri State Megabucks PLUS winnings will be paid to you in 30 payments over 29 years.

For all prizes on the Megabucks NH – you will have 365 days from the date of the draw to make your claim before your ticket will become invalid.

If you’ve had a win of up to US$ 599.99 on the Megabucks NH – you will be able to claim your winnings at most NH Lottery retailers or by mail.

If your Megabucks NH win is US$ 600 or more – you can claim your prize at the NH Lottery headquarters in Concord or by mail using a completed claim form.
