Jackpots start off at US$ 1 Million and ROLLOVER after each draw the top prize is not won – increasing in size by a minimum of US$ 50,000 each time – making for some large jackpots to be won.

6 numbers are drawn in total for the Vermont Megabucks by a random number generator – firstly 5 numbers from 41 are drawn and then from a second set of numbers – 1 number (the MEGAball) from 6 is drawn.

The fifth largest win on the Megabucks Vermont occurred in 1995 when Laurie Grant from Colchester scooped US$ 4 Million.

The largest win on the updated Tri State Megabucks PLUS was on August 3rd 2010 when a Vermont resident bought a ticket in New Hampshire and won a jackpot of US$ 12.5 Million.

Megabucks Vermont – How Prizes are Paid

If you have won a Vermont Megabucks PLUS jackpot – you will be able to claim your prize as either a cash lump sum or as an annuity payment – you will need to make this very important choice within 60 days of making your claim.

If you choose the annuity option – your Megabucks Vermont winnings will be paid to you in 30 payments over a 29 year period.

For all prizes on the Megabucks Vermont – you will have up to 365 days from the date of the draw to make your claim before your ticket will become invalid.
