Mega Millions New York – NY Mega Millions
The New York Lottery is 1 of 46 US State Lotteries & District Lotteries that offer the Mega Millions game – in this case the New York Mega Millions – as part of its overall portfolio of lottery games.

The very first Mega Millions draw took place on May 17th 2002 with 6 USA Lottery companies taking part who were all members of the Mega Millions Consortium.
The game had changed its name and format from the Big Game which had first started back on August 31st 1996. Upon this change – 2 further State Lottery companies joined and many more would follow.
The NY Mega Millions was first sold on May 17th 2002 taking part in the very first Mega Millions draw – the New York Lottery having become the 8th member of the Mega Millions consortium upon its change from being the Big Game consortium.

MEGAPLIER…

MEGAPLIER enables players to multiply their winnings on these levels by 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x – greatly increasing the amount they can walk away with.

Mega Millions NY – Record Jackpots
To date – the biggest ever win on the Mega Millions NY has been the massive US$ 326 MILLION jackpot won by 80 year old Harold Diamond of Wurtsboro, Sullivan County on November 4th 2014.

Mega Millions NY – How Prizes are Paid
If you have won a New York MegaMillions jackpot – you will be able to claim your prize as either a cash lump sum or as an annuity payment – you will need to make this vital choice within 60 days of the date of your NY Mega Millions claim.
If you choose the annuity option – your New York Mega Millions Lottery winnings will be paid to you annually over a 30 year period.
If your win on the Mega Millions NY is up to US$ 600 – you will be able to claim your winnings at any of the New York Lottery retailers or by mail.
