Idaho Lottery Mega Millions – Mega Millions ID
The Idaho Lottery is just 1 of 46 US State & District Lotteries that offer the huge Mega Millions game – in this case the Idaho Mega Millions Lottery – as part of its overall portfolio of lottery games.
The Mega Millions is a Multi-State USA Lottery that is run and operated by the Mega Millions Consortium – who administer and syndicate the game across the United States of America and is one of the largest lottery games in the world – having produced a huge world record jackpot in March 2012 of US$ 656 MILLION. ID Mega Millions – How it Works
The Idaho Mega Millions works in exactly the same way as the Mega Millions game works in all the States and Districts in the US that offer the game.
Jackpots start off at US$ 40 MILLION and ROLLOVER after each draw when the top prize is not won – making for some enormous jackpot figures.
6 numbers are drawn in total for the ID Mega Millions from 2 separate drawing machines – firstly 5 numbers from 70 white balls are drawn and then 1 number (the MEGAball) from 25 gold balls (Megaballs) are drawn.
Draws for the ID Mega Millions take place twice every week on Tuesdays and Fridays at 9.00pm MST (11.00pm EST).
In addition to the 6 Mega Millions numbers drawn – a further number is drawn – using a Random Number Generator…the Mega Millions MEGAPLIER number…

This separate MEGAPLIER prize multiplier number drawn will be either 2, 3, 4 or 5 – and is there to give players of the Mega Millions Idaho a chance to increase their winnings on all levels of the prize structure apart from the Idaho Mega Millions jackpot itself.

The aim when you are playing is to correctly select as many of the Mega Millions winning prize numbers as possible – and with as many as 9 different ways in which you can win on the Idaho Mega Millions Lottery – you have a great chance of winning a prize.

1. Pick 5 of your own main (white ball) numbers from 1 to 70 plus your 1 Mega Ball (gold ball) number from 1 to 25.

ID Mega Millions – Record Jackpots
The biggest jackpot to have been won on the Idaho Mega Millions lottery to date has been the huge amount of US$ 190 Million won on January 4th 2011 by Holly Lahti from Rathdrum.
This was one half of the US$ 380 Million jackpot on offer which was shared with a winning ticket from Washington.
ID Mega Millions – How Prizes are Paid
If you have won a Idaho Mega Millions Lottery jackpot – you will be able to claim your prize as either a cash lump sum or as an annuity payment – you will need to make this integral choice within 60 days of making your claim.
If you choose the annuity option – your Idaho Lottery Mega Millions winnings will be paid to you annually over a 30 year period.
For all prizes on the Mega Millions Idaho – you will have 180 days from the date of the draw taking place – to make your claim before your Mega Millions ticket will become invalid.
