At long last the huge US Powerball lottery is coming to California! With effect from Monday 8th April 2013 California Lottery players will be able to buy Powerball tickets in-state - the very first CA Powerball draw taking place on Wednesday 10th April 2013. This means that California is now the 45th of the States and Districts throughout the USA that participates in the Powerball game - one of the biggest in the lottery world.
Yes, the time has at long last arrived - one of the few of the few States still to join the mighty US Powerball game has now signed up and is making full use of the Powerball / Mega Millions cross selling agreement - enabling the sales of Powerball tickets to Californian citizens.
California lottery players have been looking forward with anticipation to this date for a good while - and now they have the choice to take part in BOTH of the 2 biggest USA Lottery games - Mega Millions AND now the Powerball.
The inclusion of California into the list of State and Districts that sell Powerball lottery tickets will mean one thing for sure - that Powerball jackpots are likely to get even bigger due to the increase in ticket sales - great news for all players!
To celebrate the launch of the California Powerball - the first drawing on April 10th 2013 will be held at the California Lottery headquarters in Sacramento, CA, after which it reverts to its normal location of Tallahassee, Florida - the headquarters of the Multi State Lottery Association.
