"The AR Powerball – Twice a week from the Arkansas Lottery"
The Arkansas Lottery is 1 of 47 US State Lotteries & District Lotteries that offer the Powerball game – in this case the Arkansas Powerball – as part of its overall portfolio of lottery games.
Powerball is a Multi-State USA Lottery game that is run by the MUSL – Multi State Lottery Association and is one of the largest lottery games in the world – having produced the biggest ever world lottery jackpot on January 13th 2016 with a mind-boggling US$ 1.586 BILLION top prize – completely shattering the existing record Mega Millions jackpot.
The very first Powerball draw took place on April 22nd 1992 with 16 USA Lottery companies – who were all members of the MUSL – taking part when the game changed its format and name from Lotto America which had begun on February 13th 1988.
The Arkansas Powerball was first sold on October 31st 2009 when the Arkansas Lottery became the 33rd member of the MUSL – Multi State Lottery Association – who run and syndicate the Powerball game across the majority of the USA.
The Arkansas Powerball works in the same way as the Powerball game works in all the States and Districts across the United States of America that offer the game.
Jackpots start off at US$ 40 Million and rollover after each draw when the top prize is not won – increasing in size each time by at least US$ 10 Million – making for some huge jackpot figures.
6 numbers are drawn in total for the AR Powerball game from 2 separate drawing machines – firstly 5 numbers from 69 white balls are drawn followed by 1 number (the Powerball) from 26 red balls.
Draws for the Arkansas Lottery Powerball take place twice every week on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10.59pm EST with the Powerball winning numbers being displayed after each draw on the myarkansaslottery website.
There is also a Powerball prize multiplier facility available when playing that dramatically increases the size of a Powerball win and is called Powerball POWERPLAY.
POWERPLAY…
The Powerball POWERPLAY option is a prize multiplier and will automatically increase the Powerball win by up to 10 times the original win amount – and is there to give players of the AR Powerball a chance to increase their winnings on all levels of the prize structure apart from the Arkansas Powerball jackpot itself.
With the Powerball POWER PLAY option – you are easily able to multiply your winnings on these levels by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x and when the jackpot has not reached US$ 150 Million – even 10x – greatly increasing the amount you will walk away with.
In the case of the US$ 1 Million 2nd prize – whatever PowerPlay number may have been drawn – it will automatically be doubled to US$ 2 Million if you play with the Powerball PowerPlay option.
The aim when playing is to correctly select as many Powerball winning numbers as possible – and with 9 different ways in which you can win on the Powerball Arkansas – you have a great chance of winning a prize.
There are generally 4 ways you can play the AR Powerball…
